What Personal Information does imbookin gather from me and how is this information used?
When browsing the Site, you are not required to provide any Personal Information unless and until you choose to make a reservation, place an order or sign up for one of our email newsletters or other services as described below. We do not knowingly permit the Site to be used by any person under the age of eighteen and we do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children (meaning those younger than thirteen years of age). A valid credit card is required to make a reservation or place an order on the Site.
Making a Reservation or Placing an Order
If you choose to become a registered member of imbookin, you must provide your name, address, telephone number, email address, a unique login name, password, and password validation, and a password hint to help you remember your password. This information is collected as part of your registration for several reasons including: (i) personal identification; (ii) to complete and confirm reservations and orders; (iii) to confirm member registrations; (iv) to allow us to contact you for customer service purposes, if necessary; (v) to customize the content of the Site to meet the needs of imbookin users; and (vi) to make product and service improvements. As an imbookin member you will also occasionally receive updates from us about special offers, new imbookin services, and other noteworthy items. However, you may choose at any time to no longer receive these types of email messages. Please see our Email Policy described below for details.
As a imbookin member, you can choose to complete your online profile by providing location preferences, credit card billing information, address, and other Personal Information. This information is primarily used to assist you in making bookings quickly without having to type in the same information repeatedly.
When you make a reservation or place an order using imbookin, your name, your telephone number, your email address and the details regarding your request are provided to the Supplier or person or entity responsible for managing reservations or orders for that Supplier, just as would occur if you were making arrangements with that Supplier over the phone. You also have the option of providing special preferences or comments regarding your reservation or order, which imbookin will pass on to that Supplier.
Suppliers listed on imbookin want to provide you with the best possible service so that you will work with them again. One way Suppliers can distinguish themselves is by recognizing returning customers and recalling their special preferences. For this reason, a Supplier may use its imbookin interface to take note of such things as your special requests, special occasions or other pertinent information that will help the Supplier serve you better during any future event. If a Supplier chooses to note your preferences, that information may be typed into its imbookin interface manually, or will come through the system via your reservation or order for services. This data belongs to imbookin and/or the Supplier, since it is a product of that Supplier's relationship with you. imbookin can access this information, though it is not shared with any other Supplier or third party, other than, perhaps, a Supplier under the same ownership.
The Suppliers within imbookin's network are separate businesses from imbookin. While imbookin encourages them to comply with data protection requirements, imbookin will not be responsible if these Suppliers or the persons or entities responsible for or working on behalf of them fail to comply with respect to your information. Any complaints or inquiries regarding use of your information by a Supplier listed on imbookin should be addressed directly to the Supplier in question.
imbookin's newsletter services are optional benefits you may choose to subscribe to in order to keep up-to-date with the latest special offers and news.
imbookin values opinions and comments from members, so we may conduct online surveys. Participation in these surveys is entirely optional. Typically, the information from these surveys is aggregated and used to make improvements to imbookin and to develop appealing content, features and promotions. Survey participants are anonymous unless otherwise stated in the survey.
Promotions & Sweepstakes
BizBash may sponsor promotions and sweepstakes to give members the opportunity to win great prizes. Information collected by us for such activities can include contact information and survey questions. We use contact information to notify contest winners and survey information to develop promotions and product improvements.

Automatic Logging of Session Data
We automatically log generic information about your computer's connection to the Internet ("Session Data"). Session Data consists of things such as the IP address, operating system and type of browser software being used and the activities conducted by the user while on the Site. An IP address is a number that lets computers connected to the Internet, such as our Web servers, know where to send data back to the user, such as the pages of the Site the user wishes to view. We collect Session Data because it helps us analyze such things as what items visitors are likely to click on most, the way visitors are clicking through the Site, how many visitors are surfing to various pages on the Site, how long visitors to the Site are staying, and how often they are visiting. It also helps us diagnose problems with our servers and lets us better administer our systems. It is possible to determine from an IP address a visitor's Internet Service Provider (ISP) and the approximate geographic location of his or her point of connectivity. We may also use some Session Data, such as the pages you visited on the Site, to send you email messages focused on Suppliers that you may be interested in, unless you had previously opted out of receiving such messages.
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. There are many myths circulating about cookies, but you should know that cookies are only read by the server that placed them, and are unable to do such things as run programs on your computer, plant viruses or harvest your Personal Information.
First and foremost, you can rest assured that no Personal Information about you is gathered or stored in the cookies placed by the Site and, as a result, none can be passed on to any third parties.
The third-party advertising companies may also employ technology that is used to measure the effectiveness of ads. Any such information is anonymous. They may use this anonymous information about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of potential interest to you. No Personal Information about you is collected during this process. The information is anonymous and does not link online actions to an identifiable person.
Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies. Of course, by changing the options on your Web browser or using certain software programs, you can control how and whether cookies will be accepted by your browser. imbookin supports your right to block any unwanted Internet activity, especially that of unscrupulous Web sites. However, blocking imbookin cookies may disable certain features on the Site and may make it impossible to purchase or use certain services available on the Site. Please note that it is possible to block cookie activity from certain Web sites while permitting cookies from Web sites you trust, like imbookin.
From time to time we may add or enhance services available on the Site. To the extent these services are provided and used by you, we will use the information you provide to facilitate the service requested. For example, if you email us with a question, we will use your email address, name, nature of the question, etc. to respond to your question. We may also store such information to assist us in making the Site the better and easier to use.
With whom (if anyone) will my Personal Information be shared?
When you make a reservation or place an order through imbookin, we provide to the Supplier your Personal Information as needed for the successful fulfillment of your request.
Third Parties Providing Statistical Analysis
We use non-personally identifiable information in aggregate form to build higher quality, more useful online services by performing statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our customers and visitors, and by measuring demographics and interests regarding specific areas of the Site, including data regarding Supplier preferences, availability and user ratings and satisfaction. We may provide anonymous statistical information based on this data to Suppliers, advertisers, affiliates and other current and potential business partners. We may also use such aggregate data to inform these third parties as to the number of people who have seen and clicked on links to their Web sites.
Third Parties Providing Additional Products and Support Services
Occasionally, imbookin will hire a third party to act on our behalf for projects such as market-research surveys and contest-entry processing, or will contract with a third party to provide co-branded products. In such cases, imbookin will provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with these projects. The information we provide to such third parties is protected by a confidentiality agreement and is to be used solely for completing the specific project.
Will I be identified if I provide any feedback about a Supplier?
If you choose to provide feedback on your experience with a particular Supplier by completing a Feedback Form, any feedback you provide may be shared with other imbookin users to enable them to make more informed decisions and/or with Suppliers to let Suppliers know how they are doing. Your feedback will not be publicized in a way that is attributable to you by name, email address, or any other identifiable form unless you choose to provide that information within the Feedback Form itself, use functions that enable you to send your Feedback Form to others, or make the information public on any portions of your registered-user Profile. However, there is the potential that a Supplier may associate any items of feedback that describe specific occurrences or reveal identifying information with your reservation, order and/or use of the Supplier.
How can I opt-out of receiving your promotional emails?
Our Email Policy
Where you have consented to receiving promotional communications, you may from time to time receive newsletters and promotional email communications relating to news in your area, special offers, new imbookin services, and other noteworthy items. We hope you will find these updates interesting and informative. Of course, if you would rather not receive them, you may unsubscribe at any time by editing your preferences in your profile page, by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in the emails, or by following other unsubscribe instructions provided in the communications themselves. imbookin reserves the right to limit membership to those who will accept emails. Members will be notified via email prior to any actions taken.
If you opt out of receiving promotional emails, you will still receive automated service emails pertaining to reservations, orders or upcoming events, such as confirmations, reminders and invitations to provide feedback on a Supplier.
You may also consent to receiving promotional communications from Suppliers with which you make reservations or place orders. imbookin is not responsible for the content, frequency, timing or unsubscription process of any Supplier's promotional communications. If you would like to unsubscribe from a Supplier's promotional communications, please contact the appropriate Supplier directly.
How can I update or correct my Personal Information?
At any time, you can view and/or update your preferences. You can also update your personal profile, which includes member registration and preferences information, through the "Manage" tab accessible from the Home Page.
What safeguards are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of my information?
All Personal Information you provide to imbookin is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us.
Will you ever disclose my Personal Information without my consent?
Please note that there are circumstances where the use or disclosure of Personal Information may be justified or permitted, or where imbookin may be obligated to disclose information without consent. imbookin may disclose member information if required to do so by law, court order, as requested by other government or law enforcement authority, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable including, without limitation, to protect the rights or properties of imbookin or its affiliated companies or when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities. In addition, if imbookin or substantially all of its assets are acquired, our customer information will most likely also be transferred in connection with such acquisition.
What about my privacy on third party Web sites?
